Officers from the Milford Police Department stopped a vehicle on the interstate between exits 36 and 37 shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, for an equipment violation.
During the traffic stop, police said that Waterbury resident Brandy Milone, who was a passenger in the car, provided officers with a false name, Paula Johnston. Milone was also found to be in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, glass smoking pipes, hypodermic needles and a taser.
Police said that further investigation into Milone determined that she had an active warrant for her arrest accusing her of failing to appear in court on July 2 last year stemming from a prostitution arrest in Southington in June.
Milone, 29, was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with an officer, possession of an electronic defense weapon and failure to appear. Milone was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 2 to answer the charges.
